Proboscis Monkey

Proboscis Monkey
Endemic to Borneo, these endangered and rather strange looking monkeys are mainly distinguished by the prominent noses of the males.  They use their fleshy pendulous noses to attract mates.  They never stray far from Borneo’s rivers, coastal mangroves, and swamps.  This was taken on the Kinabatangan River in Sabah.
